PADI Divemaster Program in Costa Rica
About PADI Divemaster course in Costa Rica
The Divemaster program at Costa Rica Dive and Surf is based on the official PADI Divemaster course, enhanced by the extensive knowledge and experience you can gain from one of the largest dive operations in the country.
Throughout your Divemaster training, you will work closely with various PADI instructors, with the goal of expanding your diving knowledge and advancing your skills to a professional level.
The course lasts one month, meeting all PADI requirements and preparing students to join a professional dive operation immediately. During this time, you will not only refresh your diving theory knowledge but also expand it significantly. You will practice and refine your in-water skills, stamina exercises, and complete challenges designed to enhance your organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Alongside your PADI mentor, you will learn how to become an instructor’s assistant, developing the skills necessary to work effectively across all PADI programs and certifications. Additionally, you will reinforce your PADI Rescue Diver skills, practicing them until they become second nature and intuitive.
The course also includes comprehensive dive operations training, where you will acquire valuable skills such as compressor handling, equipment maintenance, and sales techniques.
As an added bonus, we offer two free PADI specialty courses of your choice for our Divemasters in training. You can choose from specialties like Underwater Photography or Fish Identification, which will help you stand out as a dive guide.
This course is internationally recognized and valid for life, allowing you to work as a dive guide anywhere in the world.
Most of your dives during training will take place at either the Caño Island Biological Reserve or Marino Ballena National Park, two of Costa Rica’s most stunning diving destinations, offering you a world-class learning environment.
